• February 25, 2012: Fox Valley Libertarians are holding a series of workshops to help local residents become less dependent on outside sources, benefit their health, and benefit the environment as well. The workshops will be held at the Algonquin Township offices on Rt. 14 from approximately 1 to 5 pm. There will be one workshop per hour with time for Q&A and a break in between each one. Workshops will not be hands-on demonstrations. Instructors will use visual and/or written aids, as they deem necessary, in addition to speaking. We are currently looking for speakers on such topics as raising chickens, composting, gardening, and making soaps & detergents. Let us know if you are willing to share your knowledge with others on one of these or another relevant topic (847-528-1126). The topics we plan on covering are:

  Raising chickens
  Making soaps and detergents
  Composting
  Survival preparedness
  Obtaining food locally
